We send and recieve wires all the time. US origin with a US bank, probably so. Remember, just because it's sent by 3:00 doesn't mean your bank will post it that day.

My bank, the cutoff is 2:00. Also, time zones would play a roll here. If it was sent by 3:00 Pacific, it would be too late Eastern to post.

Foreign wires can take from 3 days to a week or more.
