The Jewish truly are an extraordinary people.
These women are probably no more American in character than their ancestors who stepped off the boat and signed their name with a circle. But yet their actresses and performers can seem like such beautiful, convincing, quintissential Americans. And their writers and journalists could pull a similar trick, until recently.
If I were a blue-collar Massachusetts guy, I'd surely find it galling how these women purport to represent the state. But I'm not American, so maybe it's not my place to comment.
