If those companies are in China why should Westerners worry? We need to ensure balanced trade or lose our place as the worlds leading powers. With countries like China holding that position, we need to worry.

Now retail is being hit by automation. You forgot to factor that in. So manufacturing is going and now retail is hurting. This isn't an over night process it works slowly and builds.
