They do a flashblack to something that happened earlier
Graphic says: "CNN's Griffin pulls driver from Texas Ravine"
Can't be a different guy because they specifically say it's him
Griffin asks if he can get a power cord to help pull guy out, you see him later with power cord
You see him run over there with shorts and Sandals. He tells the guy he's getting a rope. It's clearly him with the shorts because he's over there talking to the guy.
They do a cut screen
You see Griffin talking to the guy. He's not narrating, he's talking to the guy. He has the power cord in his hand.

Griffin is wearing shorts and sandals and then after the cut he's wearing pants and boots. It's clearly a setup.
