A first-strike against NK would be a complete disaster for all kinds of reasons. It would result in hundreds of tens of thousands of casualties, and hundreds of thousands of refugees that nearby countries could not handle. Even a surgical strike or simple assassination would result in the same thing. If the NK Government fails, millions of people would become displaced as smaller civil wars would break out.
The best possible outcome is to calm UN down.
Donald Trump, in all his deal-making expertise (lol), should invite UN to the US for dinner, complete with security protection and welcome. Make a deal to end the bullshit, open up new trade, etc. Maybe build a couple of fugly Trump Hotels here and there (Illegal yes, but he'll be in jail soon anyway).
UN wants money and respect. Maybe Trump can give him both.
