You are absolutely right, there are lots of good domains, all over. We didn't simply buy for registration price, many of these were bought on secondary market.
We opted to go with what worked with our concept and thus far customers and our partners love it, and ultimately, that's what pays.
We could debate, discuss, and argue, about ICM and others all day long, but ultimately we'd rather work on making money, and this is the direction we went, but thanks for the feedback, it's always welcome.
