Technology improved (themes, computers, phones) and the content I wrote was good enough and the ideas I have now are coming together. Had I just given up last year (about 1 year ago today), I wouldn't have seen the results I've had.

But if you're bogged down, it's not panning out, there's no realistic chance of winning or you don't have time to mess around, maybe giving up is a good idea.
