The investigation into him started in 2014 which is when the first of the two wiretaps happened. The second one was in 2016/17 as he was involved with Trump and his campaign. This guy was up to shady shit before he was ever working for Trump. Of course, that brings up a lot more questions about how and why he was brought in on Trump's campaign.
