So standing for the national anthem is about showing respect for the fallen?
In the US, has it always been?
For other countries I know that's not the case, so that's why non Americans find it a bit odd.
Spain hasn't even got any words, they were facist, so they got rid of them 40 years ago, just kept the tune.
