I'm assuming everyone has been hacked at some point if they have been around for over ten years.
My web sites were once hacked and once a personal computer was hacked even though I had an active software firewall. I have forgotten the name of the firewall I was using at the time. I was using php websites and quit using php based websites and have not been hacked since. I quit using the firewall, what ever it was, and use a different system now and have never been hacked since. In fact I run two different sets of software each day when I turn on the computer to rid the computer of clutter and possible, malware, viruses, trojans, ransom ware etc. I do that with each of three active computers and have not had a problem for years. Maybe just lucky maybe it is due diligence. I could not correct the problem with the websites so I killed them and started over basically from scratch. A real pain in the ass and took quiet a period of time.
