The claim that it works in other countries also doesnt work in the US. We are not like the UK or Australia or any other EU country. The mentality of the US citizen is different. The crackdown that removing all guns from our country would require would be draconian.

1/3 of American households have a gun... are you going to jail 33% of Americans if they dont turn over their guns ? Lets say 50% of those that own guns give them up voluntarily - are you going to jail 10 million people for not giving up their guns? Where are these prisons being built ?

Its not a reasonable conversation to have. We have been, continue to be and will always be a free society and a part of that freedom is the right to bear arms. That genie isnt going back into the bottle.
