Yes.
And it seems like they are still discussing and debating what they believe happened. I saw something about the hotel disagreeing about the timeline the police put out.
This is what happens during an investigation. They try to figure out what happens. The story changes multiple times until they finally agree on what happened. This is complicated by the fact that we have news media outlets taking random facts, stringing them together, and coming up and publishing their own theories. And once they've figured it out all, and they all agree on everything... They still might be wrong.
