Then goes on to claim they had consensual sex for years later? How ridiculous is that?
Asia Argento and Anthony Bourdain put on a united front on Tuesday night as they stepped out in New York City hours after her bombshell rape accusations against Harvey Weinstein were made public.
The couple held hands as they made their way into the mall at Columbus Circle, smiling as they strode down the busy street.
Both were dressed down and seemed to relish one another's company after a day of rattling developments in the sexual harassment scandal that is gripping Hollywood.
Argento's claims were published in a New Yorker exposé which came within hours of a separate, equally shocking piece, by The New York Times which included allegations against Weinstein by Hollywood darlings Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie.
In her comments to The New Yorker, Italian-born Argento, 42, told how Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her after luring her to an empty room at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France in 1997.
Weinstein allegedly shoved her skirt up around her waist despite her pleas for him to stop.
Describing it as 'a nightmare', she candidly told how she eventually pretended to enjoy the abuse in the hope that it would finally stop.
She and Weinstein then had consensual sex years later.
