I keep hearing about all the Americans that died to protect or provide our rights as Americans.

One of those rights, and maybe one of the most important rights that all those people died for, is the right to non-violently protest against the American government.

The right to stand, sit down or in has been fought for by Americans and supported and recognized again and again by the American courts.

The right to disrespect the flag, anthem, or any other symbol of America has long been protected and separated from attacking the country itself.

Attacking the country is very different from protesting against a policy or symbol of the country.

Two different things.
