Good post Matt
Sebastian Kurz is a conservative and stand for a few interesting changes in the immigration landscape:
Quote:
He appealed to conservative and right-wing voters with pledges to shut down migrant routes to Europe, cap benefit payments to refugees, and bar immigrants from receiving benefits until they have lived in Austria for five years.

Quote:
In 2015, Kurz proposed a new Islamgesetz (Islam Law) prohibiting the funding of mosques by entities from abroad, paying imams salaries, and regulating the version of the Quran that may be used in Austria

What's even more interesting is the coalition which Sebastian Kurz's party ÖVP will seek after the election is over, he supposedly can't stand SPÖ (social democrats) and might partner with FPÖ who wants to limit immigration further and focus on Austria.
All in all good news for Europe. One small step...
