Today's English hooligans are shit compared to the 80's. The old crews all got into the house scene selling drugs and running security. The terrace fighting stopped pretty much overnight.
When it used to kick off... it was fucking crazy. I used to go on my own when I was 11 to watch Southend, when Wolves or Millwall came to town, shit got heavy.
But at least they used to be careful with the kids. The fighting would go on around you. hehe.
