If criminal charges are filed, then there is a more definite reason to shutter the site. And the Feds might possible seek to seize the domain name - which would take Eros offline completely.

Backpage is still online... but RentBoy is gone and its CEO is in jail. What happens to Eros is still yet to be seen. They might survive or they might not.
