I won't be abandoning cams any time soon. Cams are my bread and butter. Like you, I've thought for years that paysites are a waste of time.
But I no longer believe that. I just think most webmasters are doing a poor job of selling them. What worked 10 years ago won't work today, and many of the (few remaining) webmasters are still stuck in their old ways.
One reason we know (some) paysites are still thriving is because the big networks are continuing to innovate. New niches. New offers. Gorgeous tours. They wouldn't be investing in new shit if the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.
