there was an episode on mythbusters about fuel savings when you tailgate somebody, that obviously is not safe when humans do it, but for machines it makes perfect sense...the drag was reduced significantly, they were talking 40% if I remember well...
as for the roadster 1.9 seconds to 60 is faster than free fall and superbikes! free fall is like 2.5 seconds and superbikes are like 2.35....
