I use win 10 only for gaming, linux for anything else. But i seriusly dont get how did they managed to make those updates so bad - they are too often, and in most cases it's only system upgrades which after applying it, it make system slower. Tho, this was always windows problem - with every patch, every service pack, it become slower and slower. I remember back in old days how Windows XP without any service pack was much faster then windows XP with service pack 4. Technically, you could mitigate these problems by making a customized windows, where you would install and update only those part of system which you really need, but that's not something what ordinary user can do. For example, to turn off updates, which i had to do after it killed my game session, you need to change system settings, there is no simple "turn off updates" as it was in windows 7.
