A guy I know used to download torrents and apparently got a letter from his ISP which detailed exactly what he was downloading and threatened civil action and termination of his account if he persisted. Apparently he was setting his torrent download program to download the files then leaving it unattended, so once the download was complete he was then a host peer, or seeder or whatever you want to call it. I had heard about Kodi (here on GFY, actually) and suggested it as an alternative. He thanks me almost every time I see him.
Apparently you can also connect a joystick and play vintage console games on it, and that has been his latest kick.
