Of course this is a huge story!
I think Lauer got full of himself. I remember back in the day (before he lost all his hair and started looking creepy) everyone called him a sex symbol. So you know, feed the ego, think you are hot shit, getting older.....wham! Sexual harassment.
It's not even about the sex because prostitues are everywhere. It's about the ego and power. Bye bye Matt Lauer (and good riddance).
