Every ex president is against Trump, the media is against him and all Washington elites are against him. That's unique and you cannot get a better sign that he was the right choice.

The modern, post 60's idea of a statesman is a "likable" person that spouts one platitude after another, never says anything concrete or remotely contraversial, and merely creates a nice audiovisual while the real, corrupt politics goes on behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, nice words and political correctness won't put food on your table, especially in a situation when the real living standards in the US have not increased since the 70's.
That, at the same time when the country has experienced an unparalleled demographic transformation.
From 1776 until 1965, the country remained largely inhabited by citizens of European descent.
Since the immigration act of 1965, this has changed drastically. In 1965 - 90 pct. of US citizens were of European descent. Today, it's an estimated 63.5 pct.
This of course brought many unwanted perks of "diversity" such as the countless, often explicitely racial, ethnical (black, latino, Islamic etc.) groups advocating their own special interests at the expense of the shrinking majority, affirmative action (discrimination against Whites and Asians), more conflict, more uncertainity, more self segregation and less trust.
Add such ideological absurdities such as "identity politics" or being forced to submit to the dogmas of the Church of political correctness unless you want to risk your very living, and you get closer to the reason why many will favor somebody like DJT just for his straightforward style alone.
The mass hysteria in the establishment controlled media is simply the best confirmation that this is not the candidate that was favored by the elites, it can be argued that the more mass hysteria there is, the more chances for re-election.

But the metrics both of you are using leaves out the fact that THIS MAN is corrupt, selfish, only interested in HIS benefit, unstable, delusional and basically a douschebag. Your points may be valid IN A GENERAL WAY but Donald Trump is the answer? DONALD TRUMP? The TV celebrity questionable "billionaire" who says "You're fired" and acts like an idiot?
Being anti-establishment is one thing IF Trump could change the Establishment. But he won't, and can't, and is only interested in the Donald Trump brand. So while I understand the appeal of a non-Washington politician running things DONALD TRUMP is not the guy for the job.
Once people realize this we're fucked, of course. LOL
