These fires are scary. There hasn't been any rain in SoCal for 3 months and with the strong Santa Ana winds, the fires are raging out of control.

The Thomas fire burned down 65k acres / 100 sq. miles around Ventura with 0% containment and 50k+ people evacuated. The Skirball fire in Bel-Air shut down the 405 freeway, one of the busiest freeways in LA. That fire is right across the 405 from the Getty Center, which is the home of many pieces of priceless artworks.
