I don't think the US is getting "left behind". The media is sure trying to portray it like that.
CNN says over and over the the U.S. is "falling behind" and China will "take the lead".

Why?
Because we left the TPP!

LOFL!!!!

The TPP did nothing at all except ask politely that other countries consider not using as much fossil fuels.
No actual "teeth" to it at all.

And for the U.S.? It wanted us to pay TRILLIONS of dollars out.

It was a very, very bad deal for the people of the United States.
It did nothing, and cost a fortune.

There is nothing stopping the U.S. from being more innovative than China. Nothing. And Elon Musk is proving that very thing (though he has done it with billions of dollars in taxpayer money).
The United States was NOT going to suddenly develop breakthrough technology simply by being in a shitty deal to give other countries our money.

Meanwhile, we have the Democrat Party screaming that allowing people to keep a tiny bit more of their own money might cost 1.5 trillion over TEN years (150 billion a year added to the deficit IF they are correct).
And yet...they thought that the U.S. shelling out TRILLIONS to OTHER COUNTRY's was a great idea and didn't seem to worry at all about the deficit.

This is the kind of shit that working people are sick of.
Bureaucrats and politicians thinking that people's hard earned money belongs to the Govt.

They even say things like "The tax cut will COST the govt. money"

NO THE FUCK IT WON'T. It's NOT the Govt.'s money to begin with.

They can't seem to cut spending. But they cry like greedy bitches if people get to keep a little more of what they earned.

I hope you can see that side of the equation.

I've been around long enough to see govt. promise to "fix" a myriad of "problems"
War On Drugs. War On Poverty. And instead of "fixing" anything...they turn into giant money pits for bureaucrats to use to enrich their cronies.

I think working people who actually PAY taxes are finally saying "Enough".
