At this point, it is pretty clear. Trump can do or say pretty much anything he wants and his base will not stop supporting him. Scandals that would have killed other presidents just roll off this guy like water on a duck.

The bigger question isn't how it affects his base, we all know they will turn out to vote for him and/or Republicans, but it is how much this energizes the left's base and younger voters. By creating enthusiasm on the left, he could be killing Republican's chances in future elections.
