He’s definitely not wrong here—many low-skilled jobs that used to belong to the backbone of American industrial towns have been shipped overseas because, hey, if no one (read: the government) is stopping profit-driven corporations from lowering production costs, what incentive would they have to continue manufacturing products in higher cost jurisdictions like the US?

Trumps beef with Tpp and the same reason RT clucked you over it was that under the original conditions if the USA decided to add sanctions to a county.. ( RUSSIA ), then all in the group had to as well. Hence why it was so urgent to cancel on day two of his presidency. Pure and simple there is your reason.
My guess is Trump will rejoin, just with none of the conditions the USA wanted or and most scary.. China does. Either way or not at all.. it's American farmers who get screwed.
As for Russia selling Duterte jeeps and giving them guns.. whatever
