Are you trying to get me to say that certain factions of their religion, even the peaceful ones, aren't oppressive to its people and women? I am fully aware of this. I also know things were very progressive there before their religious overtaking in the late 70's.

but none of that takes away from what I said. Most of these images you and others around here dig up are manipulations collected and put in front of people, like yourself, for a reason. It bothers me that you don't recognize it.

Here's how it works in short. There are two different forms of sources of this propaganda currently. There is the capitalist business types trying to make a buck by trolling people with these images and fake news (the actual fake news) articles and generate revenue through their ads etc. They troll both liberals and republicans because to them it doesn't matter as long as they get their ad views and they earn.

The second form is more nefarious. Russian agencies have used either directly or indirectly by hiring sites like these to stir up and target nations in particular. Pitting one side against each other with these exact same tactics. For example, they will make up fake bullshit story about republicans or someone specific in the GOP and circulate it to liberals and republicans alike in hopes that both the liberals will believe it AND that the republicans will ridicule liberals for believing it. An added bonus if they can have people stop believing ACTUAL news stories and reports, which is already happening. So not only do they create a constant divide, they have a nation of people that don't even take their own news seriously any longer.

Do you not see the harm in this? I will be the first to admit that there is a lot of bias going on in the most popular news organizations these days but we must not stray too far from these if we want the real information. We can't start saying organizations like WSJ and the Times are making up stories. If we do then we wont ever get the truth and the divide will get even worse.
