I didn't watch any speeches last night. Speeches are nothing more than propaganda - on both sides.
As for the State Of The Union speech, this is should be used to highlight the state of the union itself. Of course Trump would highlight the good points, but those are few and far apart. The state of the union is this - The current president has created less jobs in 2017 than the prior president did in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012, our current president is by far the most unpopular president ever, we have no new trade agreements, the rest of the world thinks much poorly of us, Afghanistan is getting worse, and in a single action the president dramatically increased our deficit so that big businesses can make yet more money. This of course doesn't mention investigations into collusion with the Russians, money laundering, and obstruction of justice nor does it mention the constant attacks on the press, the FBI, and our intelligence community.
Is this really what winning looks like?
