First off, it's stupid to pledge your allegience to a flag, a piece of cloth. Second, the nation isn't "under god" and the nation is divided, so we aren't "indivisible" and with blatant racism, xenophobia, etc. there is no "liberty & justice for all", only for the wealthy elite.
The Pledge of Allegiance has been revised so many times throughout history, and the irony is that Francis Bellamy, author of the Pledge of Allegiance, was a fucking socialist, a Christian socialist!
Christian socialists believe capitalism to be idolatrous and rooted in greed! Do you know what idolatry is? Idolatry literally means the worship of an "idol" (such as a flag, person, icon, etc.)! So we have a guy creating a pledge of allegiance to a piece of cloth, an idol, having kids pledge to it every single day for a country that is known as the bastion of capitalism something Christian socialists are against.
