I volunteered for my last job. Got payed handsomely too.
They must have felt I was qualified since they let me do it. They even did a background check on me. It was mandatory even though I don't like them.
If I would have had as much as a domestic abuse charge on my record, I would not have been allowed to 'volunteer'.
I think you are grabbing at straws and just got a short one !
