I truly appreciate everyone's feedback here and the amusing comments although mostly negative haha.
I received similar feedback when I started an adult talent agency 5 and a half years ago and today Coxxx Models is one of the most successful agencies in the business. Being underestimated fuels me so I thank you.
The main goal of Coxxx Coin is to improve payment systems for the adult industry.
If nothing else we hope to bring awareness to how blockchain technology can solve a lot of the problems the adult industry is facing and improve the way a wide variety of tasks are done.
I think that it is going to take a reputable well connected entity to implement cryptocurrency in the adult industry on a wide scale. There are unarguably other great cryptocurrencies that would work from a tech perspective that are already used by consumers, but are these companies going to take the time to individually work with producers to set up their payment systems to accept their currency? At the moment that is very rare to find. Soon we will begin working with producers and other adult businesses one on one to set them up to accept Coxxx Coin.
Is everyone really content paying 15% to billing companies in addition to annual fees?
Are we also content with credit card processors telling us what content we can and cannot display on our websites?
Are consumers still content having porn show up on their bank and credit card statements? And if they had a choice in the matter would they choose to purchase it anonymously?
And a more general question do we really think the big financial institutions of the world are honest perfect entities that have nothing but love for us and our best interests in mind?
Do we have such strong loyalty to them that we would never dare come up with a better alternative?
Just a few questions to ponder...
I can understand being skeptical of Coxxx Coin right now since we just launched less than 2 weeks ago at AVN. I actually RECOMMEND being skeptical of any new ICO really until they prove themselves, but to bash cryptocurrency in general I think is ignorant of it's massive potential. A lot of this cryptocurrency stuff sounds crazy and it sort of is but this isn't some distant far-fetched myth of the future. This is a real already working technology that is VASTLY improved from the payment systems we have now.
Blockchains are already applicable to our initial application- secure payments. But they could one day be applicable in so many other ways in the adult industry? for example: As a safe, private, and authoritative ledger of test results or digital watermarking of purchased media. The possibilities are endless. Think of blockchains as computer automation on crack instead of thinking of them like internet money, stocks, or bonds. Yes they have a price that can fluctuate up and down, but they are really just decentralized technologies which is a very new and powerful thing. As time goes on the market should stabilize. A LOT of money has come into the market fast so it is currently trying to find it's value. 1 year ago there was less than 20 Billion in the market and now we're sitting at 365 Billion. Yes we were at 800 billion a couple weeks ago. This is a massive correction, but it is much needed for sustainable healthy growth. Once the bottom is clearly defined we are likely off to the races again.
So our primary focus right now is the technology and implementing it among adult businesses and consumers.
I would recommend the people that don't know much about cryptocurrency in general do more research on this great technology and how it can improve our future.
Let's not fight progress. It's always best to work together, share ideas, and create improved ways to do things. Criticism is an important part of the much needed communication process so again I appreciate the responses.
