Good idea, though, she should have kept it quiet. There's probably no DNA left on that dress after 15 years (she must have washed it at least once). If nothing is found she'll look desperate, and DT would use this fact in his favour.
Also, I think that DNA wouldn't really be proof of anything. It could just be his spit and not necessarily his sperm, couldn't it?
