You are missing the point.. American Indians, Africans, Mayans all failed to move past tribalism and therefore lacked any significant gains in post stone age technology. They were all conquered by more advanced civilizations.. aka Europeans..
It wasn't because they were dumb, it was because their society lacked a need or want to move on past the stone age and remained as tribal groups who were conquered by those who made advances past that tribal mentally.
