Armed guards, police officers on campus, and arming teachers are not the solution.

I live in a town of fifty thousand people. We have two high schools (building a third high school), and five other schools. How many armed guards or police officers do we need to protect all of these schools? One per school? Three? Didn't the school in Florida have an armed guard? That didn't seem to help at all.

You want to arm teachers? Require them to take classes? We don't pay teachers enough, now we want them to spend more time in "firearms safety classes" and learning how to handle a tactical situation protecting hundreds of kids while going head to head with a gunman with a death wish and armed with an AR-15? Teacher are begging for supplies for kids - who is going to pay for their weapons?

All of this isn't a solution at all. Police officers, armed guards, and arming teachers is a reaction AFTER the attack has already taken place. As soon as someone walks on campus with an AR-15 IT'S TOO LATE.
