Dude,
He got out of the military in 1975. He was born in 1943. That means the earliest he could join was at 18 which would have been 1961. So the longest he could have been in the Navy was 14 years which by my reckoning is far from decades.
Furthermore, to be an officer in the Navy you have to have a college degree. He went to junior college after he got out of the Navy so he did NOT have a college degree and therefore was NOT an officer so he could NOT have been an Intelligence officer.
He was shot by Sheriffs after having shot a sheriff in the head. This is hardly the execution that you imply.
He was not a career Naval Intelligence officer. He was a career conspiracy author and tax evader who ended up dying in a shoot out with law enforcement.
I will give him points that he served honorably in Vietnam.
