If a teacher rushes into a corridor to confront an armed assailant or two he puts his life at risk. The odds of him getting off a fatal shot are very long. Someone armed with an AR15 will spray him with bullets.
If the teachers stay in the classroom to shield his kids. Likely he will miss with his first shot. Then the shooter will move onto the next class.
You are being unrealistic about the accuracy of pistols and teachers.
