So now you want the government building housing and competing with the free market. Do you have any idea how inefficient the government is? You really think that shit would stimulate the economy? What about the housing sector? The builders, architects, plumbers, carpenters, electricians iron workers etc? What about 300 Billion home improvement industry?
What about the poor SOB that's worked for the past 40 years and has paid down his mortgage now wants to sell his home, downsize and move to Florida to rent a condo down by the beach?
