The 27 days is the grace period. The redemption period, right after the grace period is when they can charge more for it.

I looked at the search you posted. There was one result about what we are talking about, there are now 2. The one going to webhostingtalk is not working. The one going to digitalpoint is working and it is a conversation from 2008 that Namecheap responded ro appropriately, right in the thread.

The rest of the results are NOT about stealing domains that expire. I am not paging through the results. If you have a pertinent link, instead of a google search I might look at it.

I suggest you look at the results in the search link you posted instead of demanding that I do your work for you.

I am not saying that a slimy registrar is out of the question. I am saying you have not proven anything with the search you linked.
