Seems like a lot of frustration and time is going into something that wasn't worth 5 seconds of your time to put on auto-renew.
How much was the domain bringing in? Is the time you're wasting on it worth it?
Why not just move on, wait for him to drop the domain and then buy it back? In the meantime, go put your important domains on auto-renewal!
