Man, the cause of this effect is known for about 50 years in the real world. The one which is located outside of the USA. The effect known as "white light at end of tunnel" happens when a brain suffers of asphyxia. It may happen if someone will choke you or when a high G affects you and the blood (it's a red liquid which delivers oxygen) goes down from your brain to your legs.

I'll tell you more. The same effect can be simulated by using of electromagnetic fields. But please don't tell that to the US scientists, because they will burn you as a warlock for this secret knowledge.

P.S. The same applies to the so-called "out of body experience". You may still hear the sounds but don't see the picture since your eyes are closed, so the brain will create a picture for you like you see everything from above etc. When you sleep can you see in the dreams yourself as a 3rd person?
