In his dealings with foreign powers, Trump may be guided not only by the interests of the United States, but also by those of the business that bears his name. It is the purpose of the foreign emoluments clause to eliminate this kind of blurred loyalty.

U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte is right in my opinion not to throw this out. This matter like all the other matters around Trump, needs to be investigated. If he's done nothing wrong then he can turn over all the paperwork and settle the matter quickly.
As I have referenced from the beginning violation of the emoluments clause in the Constitution was the very best chance for impeachment. He has been guilty of the violation from his very first day in office just from the fact that he refused to place his company in a blind trust. Let alone all of the other benefits he has received from his business since being president.

The problem with this suit is, it could very well never reach the Supreme Court until this term is nearly over and it will definitely go to the Supreme Court as both sides will see that it gets pushed that far.
