I'm not surprised; when I was a kid, we moved to a council estate in South London, and I got beaten up twice the first week we lived there--and I was only 8 years old. You have more chance getting in a fight in England than you do in the US, IMHO. People like to fuck with you more in the UK, which seems to happen less in the US. I've been in America since 1981 and have never got in a fight here--I got in a fight the last year I was in England though.
