Don't think so? Kennedy was surrounded by dozens of men armed with machine guns - Uzi sub-machine guns if I recall correctly. The shots happened so quickly people didn't have time to react. People watch way too much TV. They think a sniper will take a shot, miss, and everyone will quickly be able to zoom in on the sniper and take him out with handguns before he can fire a second shot. It just doesn't work that way in reality.
