I support the tariffs, and the need to have balanced trade with countries like China.
There are short term consequences, like increased costs to buy products made in China.
Simply put, the shit they send over is dirt cheap in price and quality. I am prepared to pay a higher retail price for some items, and for others, it will simply encourage me to simply not buy at all.
