It shouldn't be very expensive to hop between them all, especially from Netherlands > UK > Ireland, you can take $40 ferries or trains mostly.

Have a great time. One of these days I am going to take 30-45 days and drive from Paris all the way to Croatia, stopping in Andorra, Spain, Monaco, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, Austria and Slovenia! That would be a pretty wild trip, stop off for 2 nights max in a different City or Town. 10-11 Countries, 20-30 Cities/Towns.
