You're assuming that all of the things being thrown back and forth during this negotiation will all come to pass.
Right now it's nothing but bargaining chips.

In negotiating a deal you always start high. Both the U.S. and China have started high.
Now they both have "wiggle room" to come down to a compromise and a deal.

And people I respect that are simply great at making deals have always told me...A good deal is when both sides THINK they won.

That is the goal.

SOMETHING had to be done here...the political and economic "experts" that I watch every day on the news channels are predicting doom and gloom. And so far they have all been 100% WRONG on everything they predicted with Trump and the economy.
I'm not even sure how those people have jobs on television anymore.

I think if you step back, realize this is a negotiation...as all trade deals are. And then factor in that previous administrations had people in place with ZERO negotiating skills...then it becomes clear that it's about time our country put a stop to being ass-fucked by the rest of the world on trade.
