I don't get this at all.

When the Trump White House decides to nominate someone for anything, don't they assemble a small team of political operatives to help them through the nomination process? Isn't this standard any time ANY administration decides to nominate someone for a higher office? Isn't there a decades old check list they run through, and isn't one of them "do any companies the nominee own have any political conflicts"?

How does something as big as "owning a company" forget to be mentioned, no less the entire "doing business with a foreign government" be over looked?

This is exactly what I think the problem is. The White House just does not understand how to operate at ANY level. None of these people have any political experience at all. Trump has none, nor does his Chief Of Staff. The only one who has any experience at all is Pence and well, he isn't any better. These are simple things that are being over looked.
