Example - The referendums here in Holland.
2005 - The Dutch people voted against the 'European constitution'. Our leaders said they would listen to us, but they always listen to the EU instead. So it was renamed to 'the Lisbon treaty' and put into place here in NL anyway. THE proof they wipe their ass with our voice, and it's insulting to our intelligence that they think a name change will go unnoticed. They really think we are mindless insects.
2016 - The Dutch people voted against the association treaty between the EU and Ukraine. Our leaders said they would listen to us. One year later they ratified the treaty anyway, with a worthless piece of paper attached to it for show: "Look we changed some things". Again, extremely insulting to our intelligence, and again, more proof they hate referendums and our voice.
2018 - Our leaders, fed up with the referendums because we go against EVERYTHING the EU is imposing upon us (because fortunately the majority is awake here), desperately and quickly pushed through a law on a late FRIDAY AFTERNOON so the opposition wouldn't even have time to oppose it, to abolish the referendum law. Because the EU doesn't like democracy.
Despite the abolishment of referendums, and therefore the abolishment of democracy, we still had another one left:
2018 - The Dutch people voted against a mass surveillance tapping law which would make it possible for intelligence agencies to freely tap ALL DATA from ALL CITIZENS. Truly scary 1984 shit. And what happend last week? Yep, you guessed it. They started the same playbook they did after the Ukraine referendum, which is against the law. But the EU slaves in our government want to collect all of our data and DNA anyway so they ignore us over and over again with insulting simplistic schemes like changing a sentence or a name.
These are just a few examples of the direct nagative infuence of the EU on our democracy. A democracy which is now being diminished by the abolishment of the referendum, BECAUSE of the EU, because they don't want to hear the people anymore, because we are annoying.
