What's so surprising about this? Many kids at this age can't guess time. With age they will learn.
Today kids are born in Whatsapp time. Ask them anything about phone, or feature you don't know how to operate, they will do it in seconds.
It's not that kids are not intellegent, it's just that they don't find it interesting.
